The Warriors would like to welcome Joel Johnson as the Head Coach for the 2017 season. Joel brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Warriors. Joel played his minor lacrosse in Whitby before moving on to play with the Green Gaels where he won the Founders Cup in 1998 and 2000. After his junior career finished Joel played for the Brooklin Redmen and Brooklin Merchants.
Joel was an assistant with the Warriors in 2016 and has also coached in the Whitby Minor, Edge, Team Ontario, CLAX, Oshawa Blue Knights, and Green Gaels Brooklin Redmen and Brooklin Merchants before getting into coaching.
He coached the 2016 Brooklin Merchants to the Ontario championship and a third-place finish at the Presidents Cup Junior B organizations.
Joining Jeff behind the warriors bench this year is Shawn Williams. Williams is very well known in the lacrosse community as a former NLL star and Brooklin Redmen player and will serve as an associate coach for the Warriors this year.

Whitby Challenger Baseball is starting on Saturday, June 17th. The Challengers take the field at Peel Park every Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. ... Do you know a team that can assist our players? We’re in search of “Buddies” to help our players at the plate, around the bases and in the field. We’d love to see volunteers every Saturday until the end of August. Community Service Hours are available for high school students ... On Saturday, June 3rd, Marigold Ford at Dundas and Anderson in Whitby, will be hosting a Drive4URCommunity at their dealership.
